Only one of these guys was able to make it to Tomorrowworld, but he killed it nonetheless. They were at the small ‘Kitsune Water Stage’ in the middle of the woods, and the intimate setting added a very chill dimension to their class music. Not many remixes from them, mostly originals, which means they’re very much the creative type. One of my favorites from that weekend.
Actually got introduced to this guy’s music about two years ago by my friend Brendan. He gets a little too dubby for me at times, but I can deal with it because the body of his work is boss-status.
Adventure Club has been around for a little while now and over the past couple of years they’ve come out with a great mix of original tracks paired with top class remixes. I’d recommend listening to their stuff with headphones on because they make great use of stereo. They’ve really matured their sound over time – great to see.
And my favorite remix and original by these guys:
Not to be confused with Viceroy, these guys have really honed their skills to become top class remix artists. Great for blasting while at the gym or at pregames. Granted, a lot of what they make sounds pretty similar, but it works well almost every time.
Candyland has slowly come out with some quality stuff over the past couple years – finally decided they deserved a post.
Someone from Germany checked out the site yesterday. Thought that was cool, so here’s to the German dude –
My roommate told me about a kid from Connecticut named Nate Rathburn, aka. Audien. At age 17, his friends were applying for college while he was sending out demos to producers trying to make it. Pretty ballsy move. Now he’s playing shows in Vegas, LA, and New York. He’s been featured on Tiesto’s “Club Life” and Armin Van Buuren’s “A State of Trance”. Who needs college when you’re among a growing list of teenagers crushing it (see Martin Garrix)?
I am not well versed in EDM, really just started listening to it a couple of months ago. However, my roommate tells me that Audien’s first musical endeavors were rooted in trance, and he has gradually shifted his style to bring a progressive-house feel to his original mixes. He also remixes a Bruno Mars song, seemingly created by an equation as your run-of-the-mill pop song, and makes it interesting.
So none of this was relevant to the German dude. Sorry Hans, but here’s a freebie: Watch any video on YouTube, pause it, and without clicking anything else, type “1980”. A gift from your friends across the pond.

I don’t normally listen to the original songs of remixes I post, but decided to try it out – remix is still better… not changing my ways.
To the few people that actually read (past tense) this thing: I know I haven’t posted anything for over year now – a combination of being too busy being a real person and flat-out laziness… However, since I’m still paying for this site, I might as well pump my money’s-worth into it.
So, to start things off, I’m posting a few remixes of Imagine Dragons tracks (since their actual songs are a little too mellow for my liking). Enjoy.

This guy’s a great producer out of NYC just coming on the scene. His The World Is Ours EP, which was released in October, got him a lot of attention with the music blogs and whatnot. Personally, I love his rendition of Ellie Goulding‘s Lights – it puts most other mixes of her remix-raped song to shame. Seriously, type “Ellie Goulding Lights Remix” into either youtube or soundcloud… ridiculous. I hope this guy breaks through at some point to start putting some class with David Guetta in the mainstream production scene.

Okay, so this guy might be a little too dubsteppy for some of you guys, but he’s going to be on the same level as Porter Robinson, Lazy Rich, etc. once he starts getting more exposure. He and 3LAU just put out a new EP – Relics Of A Dance Attic; I wasn’t a big fan because I don’t believe their sounds mix very well, but to each his own. This song’s pretty sweet though.
